New design idiom

A true Mercedes. And yet so very different. The new A-Class will surprise you with its fresh, sporty design that blends emotive appeal with individualistic character and strikes a completely new note in the compact vehicle segment. The Mercedes-Benz design team were crowned "Team of the Year" in 2011 by a top-ranking jury of industry experts. To configure your A-Class further, just select from each of three design and equipment lines and three design packages with differing emphases - and create your very own, very individual new A-Class.

A new breed of compact
The dramatic, scooped out air intakes in the front apron. The feature line running through the headlamps and sweeping back towards the rear. The rising wedge-shaped beltline carved into the flanks. The broad, powerful shoulders. This is the new generation Mercedes-Benz.

From the outset, AMG were involved in the design process and their influence is apparent in every tautly drawn surface. The AMG Sport model even features their signature bodystyling, bringing added muscle and aggression to the car's sleek, agile looks.

The Engineered by AMG model goes further still, incorporating sporty red flourishes on the front apron, red brake callipers, and the extraordinary diamond grille, first seen on the Concept A-CLASS.

No matter which model line you choose, the new A-Class offers unparalleled style and design, it defines the new generation Mercedes-Benz.

Many features have been taken directly from our super car range – for example, the distinctive air vents first seen on the SLS AMG – lending the cabin a sharp and sporty feel. High-grade materials range from carbon fibre-look trim to Artico / Dinamica® upholstery.

Sporty design elements are complemented by excellent ergonomics and eye-catching details throughout. On selected models, you'll even find ambient lighting integrated into the back rests of the sports seats. And, with helpful state of the art technologies, the new A-Class can also help you stay connected.
